In essence, we are taking Rotary back to it's 'business networking' roots. When formed in1905 every member had to own and run their own business. Check out our history.

We are looking to create a Welshpool Business Network, aiming to encourage and help others who are either running or setting up a business in the Welshpool area, supporting our small businesses in the high Street in these difficult times but also supporting and encouraging any local budding entrepreneurs.
 

While being part of Welshpool Rotaract, we will primarily be focused on the Welshpool business community as well as supporting the value of 'Volunteering' in our community. This new group will initially meet monthly with the aim of encouraging business people and professionals to meet and connect with like-minded people, making valuable connections, providing at the same time connecting to our community as an opportunity and outlet for what has become known as 'corporate responsibility'.

Rotaract is a partner with Rotary International. Originally founded in the United States in 1968, Rotaract came to the UK and Ireland in the early 1970s. There are currently nearly 11,000 Rotaract teams across 180+countries worldwide. This is on top of the 1.3m members in over 31,000 clubs around the world in Rotary clubs. You will be welcome to visit anyone of them on your holidays!
 
The cost of being a member is very affordable at less than the price of a coffee per month. That's just £48 per Rotaract Year (1st January to 31st December) pro rata  at £4 per full calendar month.

Being in Rotary and Rotaract means that our activities are covered by the Rotary insurance up to £20m. To obtain that would cost many £100's per annum!
